What qualification will I receive? 
You will receive the internationally recognised Trinity CertTESOL qualification, along with a Teaching Young Learners Extension Certificate.
Is accommodation included in this package?
No, but you are welcome to use our accommodation service for your time in Barcelona. We can offer you 5 weeks, 12 weeks or 12 months of accommodation. See our accommodation page for more information.
Will I get real classroom experience with kids?
Yes! You will observe real classes and co-teach young learner lessons during the final week of the course.
What ages will I be teaching during the young learners module?
You’ll likely be working with children aged 6–12, depending on class availability at the time.
Can I do the Young Learners Extension without the Trinity CertTESOL?
Yes, as long as you have an in-person TEFL/CELTA/CertTESOL certificate. The standalone price is 350€, please contact coordination@tefl-iberia.com for course dates.
Is the Young Learners module assessed?
While there’s no formal exam, your performance during lesson planning, co-teaching, and tutor feedback will be reviewed for your certificate.
Is Barcelona a good city for TEFL jobs with kids?
Yes! There is a very high demand for teachers who can work with children and teens, particularly in private language academies and after-school programs. This certificate will definitely make you stand out in the job market.
Do I need a visa for this program?
No, this program is under 90 days so you can do it on a regular tourist visa. If you would like to stay for over 3 months we recommend adding on our Spanish & Developing Teacher course.
Can I extend my stay in Spain after the course ends?
Yes, but you must make this decision and apply for your student visa before you arrive in Barcelona. You cannot arrive in Spain on a tourist visa then convert to a student visa.
