Teaching English as a foreign language is a career that will take you all over the world, and TEFL Iberia is here to help you become the best teacher you can be. If you’ve never taught before, are looking for new challenges and experiences and would like a helping hand with your transition to Barcelona, you’ll benefit greatly from taking part in one of our courses. Our school, located in the centre of Barcelona, is a state-of-the-art educational centre, equipped with interactive whiteboards and audio-visual facilities. Our hands-on tutors will teach you everything you need to know about grammar, methodology and teaching techniques in a supportive, encouraging environment. They’ll help you to plan engaging, fun classes and give you feedback on your teaching practice sessions with locals learning English. By the end of the course, you’ll have all the skills you need for a career teaching English abroad.

A typical day

To give you an idea of your daily routine this is what a typical schedule looks like:

  • 10.30-12.00 – Input session (methodology, grammar, demonstrations, specialist modules, guest speakers)
  • 12.00-12.15 – Break
  • 12.15-13.00 – Second input session
  • 13.00-14.00 – Lunch break
  • 14.00-16.00 – Lesson preparation
  • 16.00-18.00 – Teaching practice with real students
  • 18.00-19.00 – Feedback session
